We are looking to recruit an experienced Geoscientist with a data science background to work within our Subsurface teams based in our Abingdon office, Oxfordshire.

The successful applicant will possess strong expertise in exploration or development roles that include well planning and operations. You will have a successful track record of preparing well prognoses with uncertainties and securing management approvals. Experience of planning and overseeing well data acquisition programs is required, including wireline and LWD logging, pressure and fluid sampling, VSP, coring, and SCAL. Basic log interpretation skills including GR, Resistivity, Sonic, Density, Caliper, NMR, image logs, mud gas, and shows are also required.
You will hold a Bachelor�s degree in Petroleum Engineering, Geology, Geophysics, or Physics. An advanced degree is preferred, and will reduce prerequisite work experience stated below by one year for master�s degree and two years for a Ph.D.
Geospatial Analyst to join their world class team. The successful candidates� primary work is characterized by the responsibility for coordinating and executing complete projects, or studies requiring knowledge of cartographic methods, techniques or procedures.
Minimum Requirements
The candidate will show evidence of having worked to implement new methods and technologies for the solution of geophysical challenges. Key challenges to have addressed will include multiples, noise (land in particular), statics, and resolution. The candidate should show experience in dealing directly with interpreters/clients, presenting work and making recommendations. The candidate should be able to show clearly his individual technical contributions, as opposed to being �part of� others� work.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in Carbonate petrography, an understanding of various carbonate pore types, and a strong background in assessing reservoir quality of exploration wells via core descriptions.

Responsible for load frame operations and is a technical contributor working in the area of Geomechanics.
The Geomechanics Rock Analysis Engineer conducts rock mechanics tests and evaluations via laboratory scaled model testing for oil/gas, mining and civil engineering industries, universities, and government agencies. This requires a strong knowledge of Geomechanics, mechanics of discontinuous media, and related instrumentation and feedback control systems necessary for Rock Mechanics measurements.
