Instrumentation Trainer / assessor / Procedure Writer

 

Scope:

The Oil & Gas / Craft SME(s) will fulfill the responsibilities described below. The SME will report to The Client’s Field & CAS Advisor or other contacts as determined by the Company / Supplier.

 

Personal Skills Required:

      Strong teamwork, able to work with multi-national team

·        Strong verbal and written communication skills

·        Strong classroom presentation skills

·        Good interpersonal skills, able to work in multi-culture and multi-company environments

 

Technical Skills Required:

      Strong oil & gas upstream operational, technical, or supervisory background

·        Knowledgeable of / competent with basic upstream oil & gas operational programs

·        Competent / experienced with upstream oil & gas and craft training programs

·        Strong training presentation, coordination, evaluation, & planning skills

·          Competent computer skills; presentation, spreadsheets, document preparation

·          Proven competence with procedure development and presentation software

·          Has proven ability to communicate technical information and procedures to engineering, operational, and staff personnel

·        Accredited Workplace Assessor in relevant discipline

 

Oil & Gas / Craft responsibilities:

      Prepare training programs and manage presentation materials / equipment

·        Continue to prepare content focused on basic oil & gas from basic reservoirs thru wellhead, various process train(s) types, via oil or gas pipeline(s), along with four (4) craft job overviews

·        Prepare content focused on the instrumentation craft positions to facilitate intermediate to advanced technical training for  the WQ1 SOC personnel

·        Present training material in an professional, interesting, and stimulating manner

·        Ensure all students engage positively in learning experience

·        Assist and encourage students who experience difficulties

·        Assess student’s capabilities and modify program presentation as needed to maximize students learning’s

·        Maintain program performance, completion, attendance, evaluation records and perform LMS data input functions as defined by Client’s Training Management

·        Interface and coordinate training activities with SOC, Company, and other personnel to effectively achieve program presentations and completion objectives

·        Operate training facilities instructional and presentation equipment

·        Ensure all developed training material is presented for archiving by the Document Controller

 

Craft Assessment responsibilities:

·          Work with Training Supervisor and Discipline Superintendent to establish/review assessment criteria

·          Conduct assessments on O&M personnel to establish gaps in craft competencies

·          Conduct assessments in an professional, interesting, and stimulating manner

·          Ensure all students engage positively in assessment experience

·          Assist and encourage students to provide evidence of prior formal training and previous work experience

·          Modify assessment process as needed to maximize students involvement

·          Interface and coordinate assessment activities with SOC, Company, and other personnel to

        Effectively achieve assessment objectives

·          Maintain up to date records of all assessments planned and completed

·          Ensure all developed assessment material is presented for archiving by the Document Controller

 

Procedure Writing responsibilities:              

·          Develop procedures per the Client’s standards for new and existing equipment

·          Ensure technical accuracy of developed procedure documents and ensure they meet standards compliance

·          Work with engineering, operations, and support staff to ensure all procedures are applicable to the operational and site specific requirements

·          Maintains accurate records of procedure development, edits, reviews, and approvals

·          Ability to understand and apply manufacturer’s guidelines to procedure development as required

·          Ensures procedure development meets SOC and FOD/WQ1 regulatory requirements

·          Ensure all developed training material is presented for archiving by the Document Controller

 

Terms:

      SME(s) would be located in the West Qurna field areas

·        SME(s) work schedule may vary depending upon operational staff availability

·        SME(s) work locations may vary depending upon site instructional requirements

·        Bi-Lingual (English / Arabic) ability preferred but not required
