 Job Description
Airswift are supporting a global leader in thermoset resins. Through a broad range of thermoset technologies and specialty products, the Client serves and supports customers in a diverse range of applications and industries.

Key task is to provide support and maintain Process Control and Safeguarding Systems (new and existing) for sites in Europe with a focus on a large site in the Rotterdam area.


Job Responsibilities

Reliability & Safety:



* Participate in Safety Studies (e.g. HAZOP)
* Determine Safety Integrity Level (SIL) classification for safeguarding instrumentation
* Ensure compliance with company standards and national and international legislation w.r.t. process control and safeguarding systems


Design & Change



* Provide and assure high and constant quality of work for the design, development, optimization and maintenance of process control and safeguarding systems.
* Troubleshoot problems with the process control infrastructure and assure a strong solution.
* Provide smooth, timely and adequate interaction and information flow between Process Controls Engineering and other functions in the company.
* Responsible for developing work processes and tools and identifying best practices w.r.t. process control and safeguarding (e.g. develop quality standards, test-protocols, procedures and maintenance plans)
* Develop specifications (scope) for modifications in the design phase and give advice about maintenance contracts
* Ensure compliance with company standards and national and international legislation
* Provide guidance and control of the system vendor executing their scope of work (e.g. during programming activities, debugging, testing, installation, etc.)
* Supervise and guidance for Maintenance of the Control and Safeguarding Systems and (as-built) Documentation.



Problem Analysis:



* Participate in RCA (root cause analysis) of incidents or recurring problems in case of process control relevance
* Assess system life cycle and define replacement strategy

Minimum Qualifications



* 5 and more years of working experience in the (petro)chemical / fine chemical industry / engineering contractor (global and international companies)
* Proven experience with systems from Honeywell as well as Emerson and integration with PLC systems
* Proven (process control) experience in multiple new projects
* Proven experience in maintenance of existing control systems
* Thorough job expertise. Capabilities and interest to learn and increase expertise further

* Fluent English and good Dutch, both oral and written.
* Preferably German and/or Spanish language skills

Education Requirements

Bachelors/Master's Chemical or Control Engineering degree from a Technical University
