PRODUCTION SUPERINTENDENT
Italy based/ 5 days per week/ followed by Africa Contract role Q2/3 start
As part of this LNG Project, our client is looking for a Production Superintendent to support its LNG Plant Asset division within its Production operations team. This person will supervise personnel within production on the operated asset within the LNG subsea offshore & onshore facilities.
Responsibilities: Leading and managing the shift production teams to safely carry out all the production activities within the LNG Plant, ensuring compliance with the applicable COMPANY management system, regulations and standards, facilitating proper maintenance of plant and equipment and developing and assessing the production team personnel, to ensure continuous, safe and efficient operations to meet or exceed LNG production targets, also shall provide technical support to COMPANY on all production matters, and provision of expert technical advice, including but not limited to, on the following subjects:
Design phase * Review of all start-up and Production operations related deliverables issued by the EPC Contractor. * Issuance of Production operating procedures as per COMPANY standard requirements. * Technical assistance in setting-up COMPANY Production management system. * Technical support in the recruitment of the Production personnel. * Technical assistance in the training of the Production personnel, in particular through the implementation of the OTS.
Operations phase * Management and supervision of the activities of the plant production personnel to ensure that the plant is operated safely within agreed parameters and that operating procedures are in accordance with applicable COMPANY regulations and standards, and are strictly adhered to. * Sponsor of the coordination and coverage of all activities in the plant by a well prepared and implemented PTW and sponsor of compliance of all work practices to the LNG project approved standards, in order to ensure consistent and safe plant activities. * Identification of work methods and precautions required for all works carried out during the shift and supervision of proper maintenance of plant equipment to ensure that safe working conditions exist and are maintained in the plant. * Undertaking of regular safety and plant integrity audits on the plant (PTW system, Firefighting equipment, equipment general conditions, etc.) * Organisation of permit meetings ensuring participation of concerned parties and control of opening of PTWs for critical jobs. * Troubleshooting of plant problems and guidance to Production teams with respect to appropriate corrective actions to maintain the continuity of plant operations. * Prioritisation of all works within the plant in consultation with Maintenance and Inspection personnel to ensure safety, integrity and production targets are met. * Shutdown planning and coordination and effective handling of emergency situations, providing the required support, so that all such activities are carried out in a safe and efficient manner.
DELIVERABLES * HSE leading and lagging indicators, * Reports of regular safety audits conducted in the plant versus targets, * Reports of HSE dossier audit conducted with CCR Supervisor and Shift Supervisor versus targets, * Process conformity reports, * Reports of emergency exercises versus targets, * Reports of number of LNG cargoes exported versus targets, * Reports of number of equipment, units, LNG train, trip due to operator error, versus targets, * Reports of safe and successful shut-down and re-start-up of equipment, units, LNG train, * Reports of effective training plans developed and achieved for all personnel versus targets, * Daily, weekly and monthly Progress Reports, * Final Report.
TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS * Bachelor degree in applied science or engineering * Knowledge of emergency procedures * Good command of written and spoken English * Supervisory expertise in operations, maintenance or HSE, for LNG and/or large natural gas infrastructure facilities with at least 15 years' experience * Sound technical knowledge of natural gas treatment and processing, LNG production activities, Storage & Loading and Utilities operations * Thorough knowledge of PTW system in Oil & Gas Industry * Sound knowledge of Emergency Response systems and experience in handling plant emergencies |
