The SPQM coordinates and deploys the Client Quality programs within the project as well as deploying quality tools and continuous improvement methodologies. He/She manages Quality Engineers during all project phases and in all areas.
KEY ACTIVITIES
* Proactively interacts and informally influences members of the PMT to ensure that quality matters are effectively managed according to project standards and expectations. * Leads, develops and implements project-wide system audits and quality plans as validated by Quality Department Manager. * Maintains strong relationships with the Client quality representatives to report progress and handle inquiries and issues. * Promotes a Quality culture on the project, ensuring implementation of best practices and continuous improvement of quality standards & system (FMECA, visual management, VSM, DMAIC…) * Co-ordinates a functional quality network between operating units on project to ensure alignment. * Facilitates the feedback process throughout the project lifecycle to ensure capture and communication of lessons learned and best practices. * Assists the discipline teams in the development and approval of the project procedures including Discipline Quality Plan. * Provides quality training & awareness on quality activities planned for the project. * Participates actively in the risk assessment workshops on the project. * Ensures proper implementation of criticality rating system and surveillance for procured Items. * Implements an effective, corrective and preventive action system and tracks closure of NCRs and waiver requests. * Ensures that a system is in place whereby only approved suppliers and sub-contractors are used. * Ensures the project client satisfaction surveys are carried out as planned. * Helps in defining project objectives and metrics (KPI), ensures reporting is in place, analyses performance, proposes corrective or improvement actions and report. * Leads or participates in investigations to resolve quality issues, conducting root cause analysis, recommending corrective actions and ensuring they are effectively executed. * Participates in project team activities, FMECA, root cause analysis.
QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS
* Master degree in Engineering * Minimum 10 years of experience in industrial projects or engineering ideally in Oil & Gas in the quality function, and a minimum of 3 years in a management position * Conversant with key Quality tools: A3, Obeya, DMAIC, FMECA, 5S, VSM, 5 whys or other investigation techniques * Lean & continuous improvement mindset * Analytical skills * negotiation skills as well as interpersonal skills to effectively work with key stakeholders (employees, customers, subcontractors) * Good written & spoken skills in English * Conversant with ISO 9001:2015 * Capable of conducting internal audits * Conversant with Microsoft office suite * Good communication skills * Experienced in external stakeholder's communication & interface (Vendor / Sub-Contractors / Client) |
