Airswift are recruiting for a Maintenance Scheduler working for a major operator client of ours on a long-term contract basis.
Position: Maintenance Scheduler Location: Brisbane CBD Contract: 24 Months
The purpose of this role is to deliver an integrated schedule that fosters safe, reliable area operations. This will be completed by using Primavera which aligns to our asset priorities and within our overall asset constraints. You will optimise schedules to minimise risk and maximise value to reflect upstream priorities and business objectives. You will also work with all parties to support re-scheduling decisions and advise resulting resource/ schedule conflicts. Moreover, to ensure the schedule is aligned with prioritisation and resource availability. You will report directly to Upstream Planning Superintendent, under the leadership of the Upstream Maintenance Manager. Their peers include the Operator/Maintainer's and schedulers across all disciplines. Responsibilities: Prioritise schedule scope in accordance with Work Management Guidelines (Safety Critical Elements, Constrained Activity Plans, Corrective Maintenance, and Planned Maintenance Etc.) * Prepare key inputs and expedite scheduling actions from Weekly Scheduling meeting * Ensure resource loading and availability are adequately set to accommodate emergent work * Identify and support resolution of cross-functional conflicts * Identify functional activities that bring risk to delivery of the Schedule * Manage the inclusion of emergent work into the Schedule * Ensure that all activities have been checked against schedule gate readiness criteria * Communicate the agreed Schedules to all functions and area personnel * Ensure that Scheduling processes are consistent with the Global IAPS and GWMS processes * Drive consistency of Primavera usage in the Upstream * Coordination of all planned activities with non-maintenance planning teams to deliver integrated All work Schedules * Review schedule KPI performance with area leaders and others * Provide the Planning Superintendent with analysis and (if applicable) proposed corrective actions to improve KPI's. * Provide feedback on Planning and Scheduling Processes to facilitate continuous improvement * Gather outputs from schedule review meetings and expedite changes to schedule as required prior to weekly issue. * All employees must always adhere to the Business Principles under Conduct, Our People, Society and HSSE and to participate in relevant training. * The Upstream Scheduler will work with HSSE representatives to provide early visibility of Safety Critical scope. Experience Position holder should demonstrate experience in the following: * Maintaining maintenance/ work management systems as well as other technology and systems which support them * Planning maintenance work schedules for preventative maintenance, backlog work and maintenance manpower schedules involving spares and special equipment needed to complete the work * Preparing detailed critical path plans using MS Project and Primavera software * Coordinating with all stakeholders to optimise planned maintenance and to minimise interference with operation of plant * Preparing cyclic all work schedules to ensure optimum labour utilisation and management of spares and for all work activities scheduled
Languages, Skills and Attributes * Tertiary qualifications in maintenance or planning desirable * Demonstrates extensive experience in all facets of maintenance, planning, and scheduling activities * Demonstrated experience in administering maintenance management/work management systems * Demonstrated experience in developing and analysing reports, and associated reporting systems * Awareness of environmental health and safety legislation and Australian Standards as applicable to the operation and maintenance of upstream operation facilities * Demonstrated competency to provide a high standard of services to internal customers * Ability to manage/co-ordinate people in a multi-disciplined maintenance setting * Superior computer literacy and mastery of a suite of packages including Microsoft office, Excel, Project and Primavera, Maximo/SAP
* Commitment to safety * Flexible approach to work and ability to work outside the scope of the position where required * Ability to multitask in a dynamic operational environment to ensure deadlines are met * Ability to work cohesively as part of a multi-disciplinary production team.
