Engineering Manager (Alkylation) - (Staff position)
I am currently searching for an Engineering Manager with a strong knowledge of Alkylation, for an operator client of mine based in Victoria, Australia. Salary: Negotiable with excellent pension/superannuation and annual bonus structure Position Summary: Responsible for ensuring safe and reliable operation of HF Alkylation Unit, Amine Regeneration Units, Sulphur Recovery Units, Catalytic Polymerisation Unit, Sulphur Tail Gas Recovery units flare, LPG storage and FCCU wet gas separation and treating. Responsibilities:
* Owner of all procedures and instruction for Shift Operators relating to Alkylation operations, shutdown, start-up, process isolation, and vent/draining decontamination of equipment for maintenance. * Assess reliability, safety & environmental threats and prioritise maintenance activities to address threats. * Ensure Operations planning for Turnarounds & Interventions relating to scope, process isolation, decontamination, control of work and associated resourcing is delivered to meet the businesses targets of safety, reliability and environmental performance. * Leading & coordinating risk assessment of non-routine operations * Communicate accurate information to shift, hydrocarbon scheduling and maintenance teams related to asset threats and capability
Qualifications & Experience required:
* Extensive experience in Operations or Process Engineering of HF Alkylation units is mandatory. * Experience with Amine & SRU is preferred. * Clear understanding of HF Alkylation damage mechanisms and materials of construction requirements, safe operating envelope, decontamination procedures. * Experience in writing and authorising procedures. * Experience in risk assessment for non-routine Operations. * Competence in Process Isolation and Control of Work. * Knowledgeable regarding Licensor requirements for HF Alkylation units. * Knowledge of PPE requirements for HF Alkylation operations and maintenance.
