We are looking to recruit a supervisor to oversee the piping and mechanical Works on a project base din Belgium.
Job description
* You follow up the piping and mechanical work performed by the contractor within an existing terminal in service, commissioned by the principal in terms of quality and safety; * You check whether the contractor is carrying out the work in accordance with the plans "good for execution" - last revision; * You check whether the work is being carried out in accordance with the working method descriptions & work and fire permits and the code of good practice; * Your work area is mainly outside; * You accurately keep a description on the PC of the progress of the works and any shortcomings; * You are responsible for following up and keeping the red marked-up drawings for your discipline "à jour"; * You report to the construction manager;
Profile
* You are a Bachelor or Master in a technical field. * You have at least 5 years of experience with projects in a process environment. * You have a strong background in piping and mechanical techniques (welding, assembly, etc.). A general knowledge of civil works and / or electricity and instrumentation works is an advantage. * You are willing to work with a shifted work schedule and in shift (during shut-downs) as well as weekends if you need to. * You have a thorough knowledge of the current IT tools (MS Office). * You are strong in organizational terms and can structure your work well, also in the administrative area. * You are sufficiently mature and assertive to communicate with all parties and levels with sufficient impact. You work in a constructive way with those responsible for the contractor. * You speak English fluently (communication with foreign contractors). Good knowledge of Dutch is an advantage. Basic knowledge in Spanish and / or Portuguese is an advantage.
